DAY 1: Juliaca - Puno

Assistance on your arrival in Juliaca. On your way to Puno, visit the famous Chullpas of Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial chambers, used by the Aymaras to bury their important leader. Arrival to selected hotel where you have free time to rest and get acclimatised to the altitude. If you arrive by train or bus the excursion to Sillustani will be on Day 3.

DAY 02: Lake Titicaca: Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile Island.

After breakfast, we take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating "Islands" of the Uros and them to Taquile Island, also inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down through the generations.

Upon arrival at the Town of Taquile we will have a lunch.Then, we will take a walk through the various hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island. In the afternoon, return to Puno for overnight in the hotel.

 

DAY 03: Puno - Juliaca
In the morning, transfer to Juliaca airport to take your departure flight.
